Phase 1 Teaching Practice Week 10

Day 41-44
The tenth week of teaching practice starts from 22 nd September 2025. In the first day of this week, on 22 nd September, i took an opportunity to take remedial classes in chemistry for failed students of 9C class. My concern teacher send me some questions to teach the students .I explained the questions and said then to copy down the answers in their notebooks . Today I got some substitution periods in 8B class . My third round optional observation was done
today.My friend Reshma took a video of my class , which should be shared to my optional teacher.I also take the video of Reshma's class for observation.Today I distributed the answer sheets of achievement test paper to the class . Also gave gifts to the top three ranks in the class . Students became very happy when they recieve the gift. In the last hour I conducted diagnostic test to the students in the topic distance and speed.
In the second day of this week on 23 rd September 2025, I reached the school at 9 am. After signing the attendance register I went to the room alloted for us. I got some periods in the classes 8B and 9C.I took some of my lesson plans in the classes. Today our team conducted a conscientization programme on the topic ''Road Safety" to the students. We all talked to gave awareness about road safety, rules to be followed by pedestrians and drivers, road signals etc. The programme was really nice. We prepared a ppt to made clear the content ..
In the third day of the week,on 24 th September, I reached the school early in the morning. After signing the attendance register, I went to the kitchen for serving the breakfast. In the first period our Physical Education sir came to the school for observation. So we arranged the second hour at the class 8A. In the second period we bring the students to the play ground in a line.Then we told them to take the numbers as 1,2 .Then arranged all the one's in one line and all the two's in another line. Then we gave some warm up activities to students. We taught different yogas for the students. I took Vrukshasana to the students. After that some games were also given to them ..It was a nice experience for me.
In the fourth period I entered in my class to present my innovative work in front of my students.I presented my innovative book named ' Lohakkudukka'. Students were very happy when they saw the book. They were so much excited while saw the characters in the book. I used the characters similar to Balarama in my work . I gave time to look and read the stories and poems in the book.
After that I taught the portion Pressure to the students by sang a song in Vanchippattu style . I made an art song in the same tone of Vanchippattu to made a clear idea on pressure, it's relation with surface area , it's unit etc . My students also be a part of the song.
They encouraged we with a lot of appreciation. I am really happy after that.
At the lunch break, I with my colleague engaged in serving lunch to the students.
In the last day of the week on 25 th September, I had a class in 8 B. Though my lesson plans are over so that I take a small lecture on the need and significance of ozone day. After that I conducted sociometry with in the students.
In the afternoon also, I had a period at the 6 th hour . In that time I conducted a remedial test on physics for failed students in 8 B. After that I made a revision for them.Later I corrected the answer sheet and the corresponding marklist was submitted to the concern teacher.
All over the week was really happy..and the experience was very good .
